Development

In addition to Spring Hockey teams, the BC Lightning are proud to offer exceptional year round hockey development to young athletes looking to take their game to the next level. Our partnership with Impact Hockey Development ensures that high quality and qualified skill coaches provide direction, correction and motivation to each and every athlete. Our programs are challenging and rewarding. Coaches will challenge players to push themselves and grow as a hockey player, all while encouraging the love for the game.

Fall/Winter Goalie Development with PFGS

We have collaborated again with Proformance Goalie Schools (PFGS) and designed an in-season development program through the Fall and Winter 26/27. PFGS with their team of qualified instructors, including Hockey Canada Certified Goalie Coach Joey Ali,  will ensure each goaltender is challenged to reach their individual potential through a progressive high performance training plan week after week.  This development group will be capped at 9 goalies and there will be one goalie coach per 3 goalies. PFGS will run these sessions as "High-Performance" development and will expect that each goaltender in attendance will put in their best effort at each session.

All goalies are welcome, no need to be a member of the BC Lightning Spring program.

All sessions will be held at NHTC Langley - Main

  • Thursdays 7:00PM - U11 Goalies (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) - Oct. 8 - Dec. 17 & Jan 7 - Mar 11
  • Thursdays 8:00PM - U15 Goalies (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015)- Oct. 8 - Dec. 17 & Jan 7 - Mar 11
Cost: Fall (12 Sessions) - $1020 + GST,      Winter (10 Sessions) - $850 + GST

Fall/Winter Player Development

BCL Hockey Development is proud to offer weekly skill development programs for all players U11 and below. All programs will focus on individual skill development both with and without pucks. Groups will be kept small to allow our coaches to provide feedback to each athlete on a more personal level.

REFUND POLICY:

Recurring Minor Hockey Schedule Conflict:

Refunds for the Fall Sessions (Oct-Dec), minus a $50 administration fee and prorated for any sessions completed, will be provided on request up to Oct. 15, 2026 in the event of a recurring schedule conflict with minor hockey only. After Oct. 15, 2026, no refunds will be provided for the Fall Sessions. Winter Sessions (Jan-Mar) will be refundable upon request, minus a $50 administration fee, up to Dec. 15, 2026 in the event of a recurring schedule conflict with minor hockey only. After Dec. 15, 2026, no refunds will be provided for the Winter Sessions. NO REFUNDS OR MAKE UP SESSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR INDIVIDUAL MISSED SESSIONS

Long Term Injury:

If two or more consecutive sessions are missed or will be missed due to injury or illness, a refund, minus a $50 administration fee,  for the remainder of the sessions purchased will be provided upon request and receipt of a doctors note indicating the advised length of time off the ice.
